Four men have been remanded in custody after appearing in court over the killing of a biker on the M40 motorway.

Simon Turner, 40, Dane Garside, 41, and Sean Creighton, 43, are charged with murdering Gerry Tobin on 12 August.

They appeared at Birmingham Crown Court, via video link with Dean Taylor, 45, of Warwick Street, Coventry, who is charged with a firearms offence.

The four men spoke only to confirm their names and will appear at the same court to enter pleas on 26 November.

Mr Turner, of Vernons Lane, Stockingford, Nuneaton; Mr Garside of Silverdale Close, Alderman's Green, Coventry; and Mr Creighton of Doncaster Close, Coventry, are also jointly charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Thirty-five-year-old Mr Tobin, of south London, died as he rode home from the Bulldog Bash bikers' festival, held at Long Marston airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

He grew up in Canada but had been living in the UK for 10 years and had worked at a Harley-Davidson dealership in Mottingham, close to where he lived with his girlfriend, Rebecca Smith, 25.
