Man charged over police assaults
A 31-year-old man has been charged with assaulting two police officers following a road collision.

Two officers who attended the scene, in Edward Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on Sunday were allegedly assaulted as they attempted to arrest two people.

The officers suffered cuts and bruises and were treated in hospital after a collision between a Peugeot 306 and Volkswagen Golf.

The 31-year-old is also charged with failing to provide a breath specimen.

He has been bailed to appear before Nuneaton magistrates on 15 March. A second man, aged 32, was released without charge, police said.
