Police put curbs on kerb crawlers
Anyone seen acting suspiciously on city centre streets will be questioned by police in a bid to tackle the problem of kerb crawling and prostitution.

Officers from Chace Avenue police station in Coventry are patrolling the Barras Heath area of the city.

Police are stopping vehicles and people acting suspiciously in the area and putting up posters to remind kerb crawlers what can happen if arrested.

A spokesman said they could be fined or prosecuted and get a criminal record.

The crackdown has been launched after complaints from residents.
