Family dog attack girl improving
The house where the attack took place
It is thought the girl was at her grandmother's house
A three-year-old girl who was seriously injured when attacked by a family pet is improving in hospital.

The girl suffered head, neck and throat injuries in the attack at a house in Church Road, in Claverdon, near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

The Dobermann Pinscher, thought to belong to her grandmother, was put down at the scene.

The girl no longer needs intensive care for her injuries, although she is still being treated in hospital.

It is thought the girl was at her grandmother's house when Wednesday's attack took place.

Police said the dog dragged the girl from the house into the garden where a door-to-door salesman saw what was happening and fought the dog off.
