Reward offer to find rail vandals
CCTV images
British Transport Police released these images
A train company has offered a £5,000 reward for information about vandals who caused damage valued at £100,000 on board a train in a depot.

Last week, British Transport Police revealed 20 lethal detonators were stolen from the sidings in Coventry earlier this month.

The youths also broke more than 40 windows and stole emergency safety hammers and fire extinguishers.

CCTV images of youths police want to trace have been released.

Sgt Martin Smith said: "Whoever took the detonators probably doesn't realise the dangers of what they've done.

"Someone knows who did this and I would ask them to come forward before the offenders are seriously hurt or killed."

The yellow detonators are the size of a £2 coin and are placed by tracks to warn of approaching trains. They are triggered by an impact.

Shrapnel from the detonators is capable of killing anyone in a 100ft (30m) radius.
