Concerns over disappearing cats
Officers are warning of the possibility of cat thieves operating in and around a housing estate.

At least one cat a month has disappeared from the Trinity Mead estate in Stratford-on-Avon since the start of the year.

Pc Harvey Whitehouse of Warwickshire Police said there may be more that have not been reported missing.

He appealed for anyone else who has lost a pet cat to contact him so he can build up a more detailed picture.

He said: "I don't know why these cats are being taken, but the thefts cause of lot of distress for them and their owners.

"These are domestic pets and much-loved members of the family."
