Baby Lilly's body was found by the River Alne
A baby whose injured body was left by a river is to be buried in a village close to where she was found.

Baby Lilly, as she was called by Warwickshire Police, was discovered in a plastic bag by the River Alne in Aston Cantlow on 11 May.

Her remains will be buried on Monday at St Mary Magdalene parish church in Aston Cantlow. Police will attend.

Police are treating her death as unlawful killing, and say they are still anxious to find her mother.

Post-mortem examinations showed she had suffered several injuries, including a fractured skull and collarbone.

Police said the injuries were not thought to have been caused at birth.

The service will be carried out by the priest in charge at St Mary Magdalene, Rev David Capron. He will be assisted by Rev David Addley.
