Museum gets £2.8m lottery funding
The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry has been awarded £2.8m in the latest round of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The grant will help put the finishing touches to a programme of work to transform the museum.

Planned new exhibitions and educational facilities are intended to increase the number of families and young people visiting the centre.

The grant is part of £76.5m being given to more than seven projects in the UK.
