Car parts found after hit-and-run
Car parts found after a hit-and-run crash in which an elderly man died are being used to trace the driver.

The man, who has not been named, was struck by a 4x4 vehicle on the A423 in Southam, Warwickshire, in the early hours of Friday.

Debris, including a wing mirror, found at the scene indicates the car involved was a red Suzuki Grand Vitara, said Warwickshire Police.

The car had been travelling towards Daventry at the time, said police.

Insp John Timmis said: "It appears that the elderly gentleman was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle.

"I would appeal to anyone who has information about the car or the incident to contact me."
