Teenagers killed as cars hit tree
Two teenagers have died after their car left the road and hit a tree in a south Warwickshire village.

Driver James Pugh, 18, from Stratford-upon-Avon, and his passenger Rory Harrigan, 17, from Shipston, both died at the scene on Saturday evening.

Another passenger, an 18-year-old from Banbury, suffered head injuries. His condition on Monday was stable.

In a separate accident, a 24-year-old Stratford girl was killed in a crash on the A422 on Sunday.

The first accident happened when a silver Renault Megane saloon left the Banbury Road, in Kineton.

A second car, a silver Toyota Yaris saloon, is thought to have been travelling in front of the Megane.

Police are looking for information about both vehicles as they are thought to have been travelling together.

Dangerous driving

A 20-year-old man from the Banbury area has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following Sunday's crash on the A422 Banbury Road at Ettington.

The 24-year-old girl killed in the accident was a back-seat passenger in a blue Vauxhall Vectra which left the road and hit an oak tree.

Two other passengers and the driver were taken to Warwick Hospital.

A vehicle travelling in the opposite direction was damaged by debris from the collision.
