Reward to capture floral vandal
A council is offering a 1,000 reward to catch those responsible for vandalising its floral displays.

The plan is to nip anti-social behaviour in the bud in Polesworth in north Warwickshire.

Three large floral displays were vandalised a few weeks back, but an initial reward of 300 did not tempt anyone to name the guilty parties.

A CCTV camera in the town square will soon keep watch over the planters which weigh about a tonne and cost 600 each.

The council is planning to stage a Polesworth in Bloom event this summer and it wants to catch the vandals to guard against further damage.

There have been reports of increased problems with anti-social behaviour and graffiti in the area in recent weeks.
