Arrests after car and air chase
Police in a patrol car and a helicopter chased down three men who ran off when approached by officers in Warwick.

The trio made off in a vehicle which crashed into a van before heading out into the Warwickshire countryside along the B4110.

They were stopped in Ashorne where three men aged 21 to 25, from Acocks Green, Birmingham, were arrested.

The youngest was charged with dangerous driving, driving with no insurance and failing to stop for police officers.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) intercept team officers had been alerted by CCTV cameras to reports of an uninsured and untaxed purple Ford Fiesta in Bowling Green Street.

After the collision with the parked white van in West Street, the pursuit started along Castle Hill, Banbury Road and Gallows Hill towards Greys Mallory on Thursday afternoon.
