Rock band Status Quo have been given permission to perform at a Warwick country house this summer.

Hatton House will host the concert, and a prom night in the grounds will be held the day before.

Residents raised concerns over traffic passing on Dark Lane and environmental officers had issues over noise levels at a meeting at Leamington Town Hall.

Promoters, Eastern Breeze, have promised to work with local residents to minimise disruption.

Warwick District Council's licensing committee have imposed time restrictions on the concert which will start at 1930 BST and finish at 2230 BST on 31 July.

Up to 4,000 people are expected to attend the two events.
