Hunt cancelled due to bad weather
A hunt in Warwickshire has had to be cancelled because of bad weather.

More than 2,000 people turned up to attend the Warwickshire Hunt at Upton House on Edge Hill before organisers called it off due to ground frost.

The blood sport event on Monday would have been one of the last major hunts to take place in Warwickshire before a ban in February 2005.

Hunt master Robin Smith-Ryland says a record number of people turned out despite the cancellation.

He said: "The local community demonstrated their enormous support.

"Normally we might have 50 horses and 100 people on foot but on Monday there were over 2,000 people.

"People from local villages, rural communities and indeed the towns like to come out and see something which brings colour to the countryside and which everybody's invited on."
