Four stations to be revamped

Chiltern Railways are to make a number of improvements to four stations in south Warwickshire having taken over the management.

Stations in Leamington Spa, Warwick, Hatton and Lapworth will all benefit from better safety and cleaner environments in the coming months.

Chiltern is also holding a "meet the managers" session on Thursday at Leamington station to find out what passengers would like to see changed.

The station manager for the Leamington area, Sandra Harper, said it will benefit all passengers.

Youngsters design new bus service

Young people in north Warwickshire have helped design a new bus which will take them to Coventry and Solihull at the weekend.

The fortnightly bus service will be launched next week.

Youngsters living in rural villages will be able to travel to leisure centres in nearby towns and cities for just two pounds.

It has been set up in conjunction with North Warwickshire Borough Council and the Rural Transport Partnership Officer.

Refugee football team appeals for sponsors

A Coventry based football team made up of refugees hopes their recent success will lead to new sponsorship.

Foleshill International came top of the Senior Division of the Coventry and Warwickshire Sunday League at the weekend.

But just six months ago it was feared the team could be forced to fold when it lost its sponsor. The team has also had to contend with racist abuse.

Manager and coach, Steve Gibbs says the team would like to expand next season.
