Cornwall Council meeting is broadcast live

Cornwall Council "live webcast" sign
Viewers can watch the proceedings live or on-demand, the authority said

Cornwall Council has begun broadcasting some of its meetings over the internet.

The six-month trial started with a webcast of the authority's annual council meeting on Tuesday.

Webcams in the council chamber enable people to watch debates and help them understand how the council works, a spokesman said.

Viewers can watch proceedings live or on-demand on the council's website. The authority described initial start-up costs as low.
