No-one was hurt when a car skidded into the front of The Bridge Inn
Dozens of minor road collisions have been reported to police as a result of ice and snow.
Many roads in Cornwall were dangerous in the morning because of black ice. Cornwall Council said gritting lorries could not reach some minor routes.
Incidents included a Volkswagen Golf skidding on ice and crashing into the front doors of The Bridge Inn at Bridge, near Redruth. No-one was hurt.
Police have advised motorists to consider if journeys are necessary.
Cornwall Council said heavy hail showers had coated many roads with ice on Tuesday morning and drivers were urged to exercise care and caution on unclassified routes in particular.
Gritting lorries are on standby to respond to any problems, the council said.
