Cornwall motorists warned about icy roads

Drivers are being urged to take care on Cornwall's roads, with freezing conditions forecast overnight.

Cornwall Highways said it took more than 100 calls from the public in one day about icy roads on Bodmin Moor.

The council said its crews had been salting A and B roads twice a day since the cold spell began last Wednesday, but unclassified roads are not treated.

With road temperatures expected to drop as low as -5C overnight, motorists are being warned to take extra care.
