Lib Dem elected to St Austell Bay

The new Cornwall Councillor for St Austell Bay is Liberal Democrat John Oxenham.

He won the poll with 690 votes with more than 41% of the division's population turning out to vote.

The election was called following the resignation of the previous member, Richard Stewart, who resigned due to ill health.

Conservative candidate Bob Davidson won 675 votes while Labour hopeful Margaret Mary Pitches won 66 votes.
