Poppy Appeal for younger veterans

The Royal British Legion's (RBL) 2009 Poppy Appeal has been launched in Cornwall with a focus on supporting younger veterans and their families.

The appeal has been angled to include younger veterans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

RBL's Cornwall manager Keith Naylor said: "The emphasis for the legion is shifting to the younger generation who are serving, to make it relevant."

The appeal was launched at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth earlier.
