Foodbank opened to offer support

A foodbank has been opened in Truro to help support families who are struggling to buy food.

The emergency bags of food will be distributed from Truro Methodist Church to those identified as "in need" by the police and health professionals.

Those identified, will be given vouchers to exchange for the bags which contain enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner over three days.

The scheme relies on tins and packets which have been donated by the public.
