Youths held over shotgun incident

Four teenagers have been arrested and a gun seized after shots were fired in Cornwall on Saturday night.

Police, including armed response units, were called to the Milham Road area of Lostwithiel at about 2030 BST after reports of gun shots.

A 12-bore shotgun was found hidden in a hedge and an ammunition belt and spent cartridges were found.

Two 18-year-old and two 17-year-old youths were arrested and are being held in custody at Newquay Police Station.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said no-one was injured in the incident, but three cars were damaged.
