Crash and floods close main roads

Cornwall flooding
The Met Office has forecast more heavy rain

Both main roads into Cornwall were closed on Thursday night after flooding and a crash.

The crash, involving seven vehicles, blocked the A30 at Temple and flooding and a landslip closed the A38 near Bodmin. There were two minor injuries.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said heavy rain had also caused flooding around Lostwithiel.

The A3058 Cornwall was also blocked both ways due to flooding between Carne Hill and Trevanion Lane, in Trewoon.

The forecast is for further rain or showers during Friday morning, but becoming drier later.
