Teenage beach death investigated

A teenage holidaymaker has died after apparently falling from cliffs in Cornwall.

Police said emergency services were called to Tolcarne beach in Newquay at about 0100 BST.

The 16-year-old boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was part of a group of young people staying at a local campsite.

The circumstances leading to the boy's death are not known and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
