Catamaran crew rescued from sea

A lifeboat has helped to rescue crew who got into trouble when the catamaran they were in broke its mast while off the coast of Cornwall.

Newquay's inshore Atlantic 85 lifeboat received a call to help the catamaran's crew shortly after 1130 BST.

The boat was about half a mile off the Cornish coast when it got into trouble and the vessel's crew called the RNLI for assistance.

The damaged catamaran was towed back to Newquay harbour.
