A parade of standards followed the cathedral service

Veterans from across Cornwall have commemorated Armed Forces Day with a service and march through Truro. The Royal British Legion said the march allowed people to pay tribute to those who have served and those currently serving the country in war and peace. The service at Truro Cathedral was followed by the parade of standards to the city's Lemon Quay. The salute was taken by Colonel Simon Bolitho, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall. The official Armed Forces Day is 27 June, but the Royal British Legion in Cornwall said it decided to combine the event with the County Rally.
