Priorities to safeguard children in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the future have been set out in a report.

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Safeguarding Children Board monitors and co-ordinates the work of all groups who help children and families.

These include councils, health service, police, schools, charities and the probation service.

The priorities include sexual abuse, domestic violence, unintentional injury, bullying and harassment.

The report also highlighted the establishment of the Cornwall Safeguarding Children Unit and the development of internet-based information resources.
