Pedestrian killed in crash named

A pedestrian who died after being hit by a car on the A30 in Cornwall on Tuesday evening has been named.

Vivian Eley, 68, from Marazanvose, was struck on the A30 westbound near Zelah at about 1945 BST.

Mr Eley was declared dead the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.

The road was closed from the Chybucca junction to the Boxheater junction all night and was reopened at about 0630 BST on Wednesday.
