Car driver, 21, killed in crash

A 21-year-old woman has died and two people injured in a car crash in Cornwall.

The collision happened on St Ives Road, near Lelant, late on Monday night between a Rover and a Vauxhall.

The woman driver of the Rover was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old driver of the Vauxhall was treated for minor injuries.

A 21-year-old woman who was in the Rover's front passenger seat also received minor injuries.

Police said an 18-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed to return to Camborne police station in January 2009.
