Swimmers tackle round-island race

Staff from the National Trust have been swimming around St Michael's Mount in Cornwall in the annual island race.

The record was set last year by Tavis Harvey who completed the 1.1 miles around the National Trust-owned property near Penzance in 23 minutes.

The swimmers raised a record £1,000 last year for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Sunday's race was started by Lord St Levan who swam around the island when he was 13, taking 45 minutes.
