Police have said the results are "very encouraging" after five weeks of a voluntary youth curfew in Redruth.

Operation Goodnight is part of a campaign to reduce anti-social behaviour over the summer holidays.

Parents are urged to have under-10s home by 2000 BST and 10 to 16 year olds off the streets by 2100 BST.

No figures have been released, but officers said there appeared to have been less anti-social behaviour and greater parental supervision.

Pc Marc Griffin from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Only a small number of young people have been out unsupervised beyond the times of the voluntary curfew."

Operation Goodnight ends on 7 September.
