Cliff team rescues man from rocks

A man has been rescued after getting stuck on rocks near Newquay, Cornwall.

Falmouth Coastguard said the alarm was raised by the Newquay cliff rescue team at about 1200 BST.

A spokesman said the man, who had been swimming in the sea at Holywell Bay, climbed onto the rocks, but then became stranded.

He was taken to safety by the Newquay cliff rescue team. The RNLI's Newquay lifeboat was also involved in the rescue. The man was unhurt.
