Man charged over dog walk murder

A man has been charged with murder after a 66-year-old man who was assaulted dies in hospital.

Peter Seaman was attacked while out walking his dog in the Cornish village of Dobwalls on Thursday afternoon.

The retired heating engineer, who lived in the village, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but was pronounced dead later that night.

Alec Pearn, 20, from Looe, was remanded in custody after appearing before Bodmin magistrates on Saturday.
