Pedestrian critical after crash

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a vehicle near St Agnes in Cornwall in the early hours of Sunday.

Police officers say the accident happened on the B3277 at Seven Mile Stone at about 0330 BST.

The road is still closed, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

The man, who is from the area, has severe head injuries and is being treated at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
