Wife charged over husband poison

A woman from Cornwall has been charged with poisoning her husband three times over a period of four months.

Linda Lees, 45, from Bosnoweth, Helston, appeared at Truro Magistrates' Court in connection with the alleged offences in March, April and July 2008.

The charges relate to alleged incidents in Helston and Exeter in Devon.

Magistrates refused an application for bail, and Ms Lees was remanded in custody to appear before Truro Crown Court on 29 July.
