The chapel is being converted into a community centre
Police are investigating a third incident of racist graffiti on the walls of an old chapel in Cornwall.
Racist comments were daubed in paint on the outside of the former Methodist chapel at Quenchwell in the early hours of Thursday.
The site, where a second lot of graffiti was found last week, is currently being converted into an Asian community centre.
A man has been arrested in connection with graffiti at the site last month.
The chapel at Carnon Downs was checked at 0510 BST on Thursday and further racist and obscene graffiti was spotted on the side of the building by a police patrol.
Supt Julie Whitmarsh said: "I and my team are appalled by the racist and religiously aggravated graffiti that has been daubed on the building overnight.
"We know that this was caused between 0200 and 0510 this morning, when it was discovered by a police patrol."
Police have asked for anyone who may have any information concerning the incident to contact.
