Police save harbour jump suspect

Police have rescued a man who jumped into a Cornish harbour.

A member of the public had reported seeing two men acting suspiciously near Porthleven Supermarket in Harbour Square at about 0130 BST.

When police arrived two men ran off, one of whom jumped into the harbour. Officers pulled him onto dry land from the side of the water.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. Police said the second man had not been found.
