Cyclist badly hurt in crash dies

A cyclist has died after being badly injured in a collision in Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to the collision on Dracena Avenue in Falmouth involving a cyclist and a car at about 2130 BST on Sunday night.

The cyclist, who was in his 50s, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. He died in hospital on Tuesday night.

A 62-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving has been released on police bail until 5 August.
