Man rescued from pub kitchen fire

A man has been rescued from a fire at a pub in east Devon.

Four fire engines were called to the scene after the blaze broke out in the kitchen of the Feathers Pub in Budleigh Salterton's High Street.

The crews from Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Sidmouth used two hose reels and breathing apparatus.

The man was led to safety and given medical treatment by fire crews and paramedics. The kitchen was severely damaged in the incident.
