"Bishop Bill" has given his final sermon at Truro Cathedral before beginning his retirement.
The Right Reverend Bill Ind, known as "Bishop Bill", has been the head of the Anglican Church in Cornwall for a decade.
He said that his faith had been "enriched" and his years as the Bishop of Truro had been "enormously happy and rewarding".
A big farewell event has been organised at the Eden Project on 6 April.

I have loved meeting people and just being with them

Writing on the diocesan website, he said: "For me the times that have been the most rewarding and nourishing have been the visits week by week to the parishes in different parts of Cornwall.
"I have loved meeting people and just being with them.
"Especially this is true of places that are small and perhaps not often visited."
He added: "My own faith has been enriched and I have gained all sorts of insights just by being here."
He said that the farewell event at Eden would be "tinged with sadness".
He said: "A saying of Edward King, once The Bishop of Lincoln, keeps me going.
"'This life is for making friends. Heaven is for enjoying them.'
"Thank you for all that you have given to me as Bishop. With my love, Bill."
