Wind turbines could double height
Delabole turbines
Delabole was the UK's first commercial wind farm
Owners of the UK's first commercial windfarm, at Delabole in Cornwall, want to halve the number of turbines and double their height.

There are 10 50m (164ft) high turbines at the site which opened in 1991, but Good Energy wants to replace them with five turbines measuring 105m (344ft).

Good Energy said that the turbines would be quieter but would create two and half times more energy.

The wind farm currently supplies power to about 1,500 homes.

Any change would need to get planning permission.
