Planners mull new police station
Bodmin police station
The 30-year-old police station is overcrowded
Bodmin could have a new police station by the middle of next year if planners give it the go-ahead.

The town council's planning committee is considering the proposals on Wednesday before the district council gives the final decision.

The existing building, which is more than 30 years old, is now overcrowded.

A new station is planned to the east of the town, where Cooksland Road branches off the A38, and could be operational by about June next year.
