Man critical after scaffold crash
A man is a critical condition in hospital after his car crashed into scaffolding at a house in Cornwall.

The scaffolding had been put up around the site of a house that is currently under construction.

No other vehicles are believed to have be involved in the accident on the A390 at East Taphouse, near Liskeard, on Saturday night.

The driver was taken to Derriford Hospital with a head injury and his condition is described as stable.

The road was closed while accident investigators examined the scene.

Loose and dislodged scaffolding was removed.
