Pair jailed for killing teenager
Andrew Bray and Thomas Dickson
Andrew Bray and Thomas Dickson were both found guilty of murder
Two men have been jailed for life for the murder of a St Austell man.

Andrew Bray, 27, from St Columb Minor, and Thomas Dickson, 38, from St Austell, had admitted manslaughter but denied the murder of Joe Knight.

Mr Knight, who was 19, died after being attacked outside a bar in Newquay last August.

Judge Graham Cottle told the court that Bray and Dickson would serve at least nine years each in prison for the killing.

Mr Knight had been killed in daylight as holiday visitors passed by, the court was told.

The judge said: "It was another act of senseless violence which has tarnished the reputation of one of Cornwall's leading holiday resorts."

He said he was satisfied there was an intention to cause grievous bodily harm but not an intention to kill.
