Scene of vehicle theft Perranporth
Police believe a vehicle was used to get through the gates
An RNLI rescue truck which was stolen in Cornwall on Friday has been recovered.

Police said another vehicle was used to break though the steel gates of the compound at New Road in Perranporth to take the truck, a white Toyota.

It was found on Saturday morning at the car park at Marazion.

The RNLI said there appeared to be very little damage to the vehicle, and deputy divisional inspector John Broad said he was very relieved.

"We're very pleased that vehicle has been recovered," he said.

"There was a fantastic response from the public and some good work by the police."

"We hope to have it back in operation as soon as possible."
