Warnings over emergency flare use
Falmouth coastguards have reminded people of the dangers of emergency flares after two were set off by children two nights in a row.

A spokesperson said flares can cause serious injury as they travel up to 100ft (30m) in the air in seconds.

It also means coastguard and lifeboat services cannot attend emergency rescues as they are being diverted to hoax incidents.

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating both incidents.
