Unpaid council tax issue 'over'
A Cornish council said it has turned around administrative problems which saw £1.6m of unpaid council tax remain uncollected in the last financial year.

Restormel Borough Council said a new computer system meant the usual process of recovering unpaid tax had been suspended for most of the year.

The council said the problems were now sorted and it had collected about 97% of council tax owing this year so far.

It has also recovered a majority of the £1.6m still owing from last year.
