Lib Dems lose seats in Restormel
The Liberal Democrats have lost control of Restormel Borough - its second council loss in Cornwall, although it has taken power in Caradon.

It lost three seats - two to the Conservatives and one to Mebyon Kernow - resulting in no overall control.

Restormel, which held full elections, has been like a see-saw for the Lib Dems since 2003, with the party having a majority of one or no majority.

The new council now consists of: LD 20; Ind 13; Con 10; MK 2.

The one BNP candidate standing for the St Austell Bethel ward failed to win a seat.
