Railway in line for more services
Railway passengers in Cornwall could get a twice-hourly service between Truro and Falmouth.

Cornwall County Council has agreed to lead a bid for £5m of European funding to help pay for the £7m upgrade.

The money would be used to pay for a loop in the track at Penryn station to allow trains to pass.

First Great Western will have to agree to run the improved service before the money can be approved. Work could start in October and be finished next March.
