The cathedral took 30 years to build

A 19th Century cathedral in a Cornish city is to be given £52,000 towards essential repairs.
It will be used for work on part of the roof and gutter on the northern part of Truro Cathedral.
In 2004 a 15-year programme began to restore and repair the cathedral at a cost of more than £3m.
The money for the roof and gutter work is from English Heritage and the Wolfson Foundation. It is about 40% of the cash needed for the repairs.
The foundation stones of the cathedral were laid in 1880, with work being completed in 1910.
